Ticket sales have been great!! We are sold out of tickets for the Dance/Silent Auction. Thank you to the community. We will be opening the doors at Le Fleur de Lis at 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 30 for those who would like to come in and see what is being offered at the silent auction. We have some really great stuff: wood swings, a safe, rod-and-reel, and many, many more. Hopefully we can post some things on here this week in order for you to get a sneak preview. Ticket Availability

We are so excited by the response we are getting. The people of Ponchatoula are great. To answer some of your questions, you can pick up your tickets at the following Ponchatoula locations: Harris Gas & Liquor, Joe Abene All State Agency, Berrytown Produce, and Florida Parishes Bank. You can also contact the e-mail address found in the "My Complete Profile" to reserve tables and volunteer to help. The dance tickets are going fast!! We are so thankful for all of your responses and we thank you in advance for blessing Wayne's life.

In September of 2006, Wayne Laurent of Ponchatoula, LA was involved in a car accident that left him as a paraplegic. In this accident, he also lost the use of his left arm. Since this unfortunate incident, many medical bills and other expenses have been incurred. His father’s home had to be renovated to make it handicap accessible. Also, a van had to be purchased that could accommodate his wheelchair so that he could go to all of his doctor’s appointments.

To help offset some of these expenses, we are holding a Wayne Laurent Benefit Day. It will entail:

BBQ chicken lunch from 11 am – 2 pm
May 30, 2009 at Le Fleur de Lis under the Pavilion

Dance/Silent Auction from 8 pm – 12 am
